C43 Differential Question
Hi all --
I've heard that my 1999 C43 does not have a limited slip rear differential, that the ASR system is somehow supposed to mimic a real limited slip deal. Is that so? If so, would it not improve the car considerably in the snow, and as far as straight line launches and extreme cornering go, to either remove or defeat the ASR and have a limited slip differential with the same gearing ratios installed? Any thoughts on this topic would be greatly appreciated. Also, who, besides Renntech could supply and install such a system on my car. (I originally posted the above in Hot Rods and only got one response [copied below] and repost here, hoping to get more info.) ____________________________________________________ Ashman Posted the following in reply: try Bergwerks. www.bergwerks.com Alon __________________ '92 300CE, Black Metallic With Blue Pearl Topcoat, Mushroom Leather, AMG Bodykit, European Headlights, Smoked Corners and candy coated Tail-Lights, SLK Aluminum Pedals, Blacked out and Shaved Grill, Engine accented with Blue Paint, Wood covered in aluminum look vinyl laminate, Neuspeed Springs, Arospeed Rear Muffler, Creme Gauge Faces, 17x7.5 Carlsson 1/6 Wheels with 225/5/17 Kuhmo Ecsta 712 Tires ___________________________________________________ Thanks,
