Anyone found a source for the E60 sway bar?
Has anyone been able to locate a source for the W124 E60 AMG front sway bar? The only two contacts I had in Europe wanted about $600 plus shipping for this elusive beast. I was curious if anyone had sucessfully purchased one in the last 6-9 months, and if so, how much was it & where did you buy it from?
Thanks!

I emailed Ronald, I'll see what he says - thanks for the lead. Also, I got an email saying Rik (2phast) replied, but the reply is not here!

Hmmm, strange. I remember replying but your right, no post, anyway not important just going to say that you could get the results your looking for with the limo bar (28.5mm) almost the same size as the E60 bar and it should cost you under $200

Ah. AFAIK, Bekkers can no longer can get it, or they don't want to. At least that was the story in mid/late 2002.

Scott, I believe Rik also got his from Bekkers a year or two ago for ~$200. I just got a recent contact in Germany who says they can get it for roughly $200 USD with shipping across the pond, but it's hard to tell if it's the real deal until someone actually buys it & gets one shipped over here. I can send you the info if you'd like...

Dave
I am running RENNtech's front sway-bar; I was just curious...
Thank you, |

Oooo! Say, do you have the dimensions of the RENNtech' front bar? The E60 bar is 29.0mm in the middle, and drops to 22mm at the ends. I was curious if the RENNtech bar is identical or slightly different...

RENNtech sway-bar
The OEM (stock) 500E front sway-bar is 28mm; the RENNtech front sway-bar is 30mm at its midpoint (confirmed by Bob Brady @ RENNtech).
As of this writing, I do not know the thickness of the RENNtech front sway-bar ends. |

Yes, I picked up my E60 front bar from Bekkers for under $160 and the EVOII rear bar for $95.
Again, I think you would be just fine with the limo bar. |

I've had two of the Renntech bars...
and they are ridiculously expensive--I seem to recall over $500--but there's just one catch..it's the only one I've used that I could really feel a difference. A marked difference. Ahh, money ain't everything...
