AMG Rotors

Hi all!

I'm going to need new 13.2 inch floating front rotors for my 99 C43 AMG.

I really do not want to buy these parts from Benz, or buy OE rotors (I hear MB rotors are too thin and too soft, even on AMG cars). Anyone know of a good aftermarket company or other place I could buy better floating rotors. I would prefer cross-drilled/slotted versions.

I have a couple of parts guys looking for me, but have not yet received a response.

Any help would be appreciated.

You need a Kleemann Kompressor system on that C43.

You should see the 600+hp C43 that I am currently building. It has a 55 engine, Kompressor and, well, other go fast stuff.

As for the Brake rotors, I have seen some online, but I can't remember where. Check with Brembo, I think that they have what you want. I would just get the drilled, not the slotted. And, BTW, most race teams are going back to solid rotors. They have more surface area for braking. Now that technology is as strong as it is, the rotors and brake pads are getting better.

Definately post pictures and track slip results on that 600Hp C43 AMG.

How long did it take to swap out the 43 engine and replace it with the 55 engine? Both of these are M113 modular engine's, right, and it bolted right in?

Where did you get the 55 engine? In my discussions with you, Renntech and Bergwerks it seems that the only worthwhile thing to do to my car is to hook it up with a Kleeman or 55 AMG engine.

Nobody in their right mind suggested doing both. I wonder if your 600hp C43 will be useful on the road. Let me know -- I'm interested.

Benzmac,

Can the regular MB transmission, brakes and suspension from a stock MB (not necessarily in this 600+hp car) handle a Krompressor without modifications? Or they go hand in hand. I guess the ideal situation would be change/modify all of these components but, is it a necessity?
TIA
