My good friend and colleague has just been sent over to command a well drilling detachment...2 weeks ago he was in the Artic drilling ice cores and now he's in the desert somewhere cleaning up oil pouring over and into the sand. I suppose it beats being ambushed by surrendering Iraqi soldiers (and I use that term 'soldiers' loosely).
