Guess what was in my oil Pan?
Nothing but oil.
Replaced stamped steel pan on Sunday. Nice and clean inside. At least I'm not so worried about the chain now (@113k miles)! Randy '94 |

Just curious, why did you change out the pan? I hope it wasn't because of the low octane gas!

I'm somewhat of a perfectionist and the old pan had a slight dent in the bottom from the PO. I've always wondered if it interfered in any way with the oil pickup (pickup doesn't reach all the way to the bottom so no problem). Plus I had some oil around the pan so I assumed it was leaking slightly and it gave me a chance to clean it all up. Plus, I got to see if there were pieces of the chain guides down there.
You know, I could sit on the couch with a beer and relax or lay under the car for an hour and get greasy! Randy '94 E500 |

I was hoping to hear that you found a crazed munchkin, or something fun like that.
