Call Tom Hanson at Caliber Motors, the Mercedes dealer in Anaheim, CA at 800 252-6877 ext 306.

You can buy just the lenses, like I did, and they cost about $90 each.

Part numbers are 124-820-41-66 and 124-820-42-66.

You will need to buy the amber bulb for '94-'95 because your current bulb is clear.

However, the pin locations on the side of the amber bulb are indexed differently, so you won't be able to insert the amber bulbs into the metal backing plate and twist the bulbs in to lock them.

What you will need to do is grind down one of the pins, and you'll be able to use the bulbs.

tailights source

Suginami,
Are your taillights red/clear or red/smoke??
I specifically want the red/white like the european cars(see also the EXTREME 500E), not like the 94-95 W124 cars. I'll search for a picture of your car to check out the deal.

Mine are red / clear, OEM 94-95 tail lights.

I haven't taken any pictures since I installed them.

I don't know what the difference is between red / clear and red / white, but the picture posted looks just like my OEM red / clear...

Shanta, I checked those out, and they describe them as red / silver.

They look just like what I call red / clear. I don't know what the difference really is...

You should email them or call them and ask. I think that they are clear, but the translation was lost. Humm come to think of it, I need a new pair of all clears so I will call them tonight and keep you posted.

Paul,

The lights you have are the red/smoke.

Albert,

Did you try emailing Extreme? I believe his are OEM.

I've seen a few others out there however they are not OEM and quality is not as good. I'd be curious to know if the ones posted on this thread are OEM or aftermarket.

I'm also debating which type I want, when you finally get yours can you post pics?

I've seen red / smoked, like on Alon's car, and mine are definitely not smoked.

They are clear.

Red / Clear

I did finally find a set of Red/White on Ebay. They were german but not Bosch/Hella...Good quality though. As they came I only had to remove the OE's and install the new. There was/is a yellow inner lens for the turn sig. so I can use the OE clear bulb setup. Pretty ingenius. Looks absolutely great on the RED. Price was good too at ~$200 delivered. The picture that was listed on Ebay was the same as the one posted by Manu, but whereas you can clearly see a hole in the turn signal area, the ones I purchased clearly have an amber inner lens...(basically a box surrounding the turn sig bulb.

I picked up a set that were allegedly real Euro tails, and they are NOT smoked. I like them a lot but don't know what years these were used in Europe. I'm also trying to figure out how the 94/95 USA models were different. Anyway, here's the tails on my car:

slight mod needed

I had to do a slight mod on mine when I rec'd then.(Actually just realized that a mod was necessary last night after my "bulb out" light came on. There is a small square hole that must be cut to allow the side most light of the taillight assy to be seen. Look at your OE and then look at the replacememts. If its needed you'll be able to tell
