What a price drop!!!!! They had it listed for over $16000 last week !!!! Makes you wonder how good it really is .
But if it checks out at $9995 that is a real bargin -- Less than an average 400E!!!!!

Uh - Is it just me, or does this look suspiciously like a black on black 400E!? The 500 had wider wheel wells, and wider wheels and tires and sat lower. The interior does look like the right thing, though. Lots of miles, but for that price, couldn't go wrong if it IS a 5 litre!

Seems to be missing the rear emblem - could be repainted and left off.

We'll know more tomorrow - I'm driving out to take a look at it. I'm in the market for a similar-vintage 400E/E420 with 2.82 diff but if this is in the same range...

Anything in particular I should be on the lookout for? Should I be concerned about the astronomical mileage?
