Considering the mileage, a garage-kept example like that one could still be sporting it's original paint!
One thing MB does well is paint!

Mine has 52k miles and I believe the original paint -- if you look closely you will see small scratches, chips etc., but overall it looks great. I keep it clean and waxed-- the paint is deep and has a great shine -- and in pictures from the same distance as those in the ebay ad, it looks just as good (see attached, low resolution picture). I would agree with G-Benz, its probably original.

My SL is the exact same color. I have 75,000 miles on mine and it has always been garaged. I'm the second owner. Talked to the first owner before buying it from the dealer.
So I would say that the car has had ZERO paint work, if mine is a comparison. North Carolina plates. So it has not been in the rust belt. IF Boone NC is its original home. Dave

Only sure way is with an Electronic Thickness Gauge. Anything over around 4.5 mils would be suspect.

it says original paint in the listing, so why ask us? check it out yourself because those photos don't reveal much.
