Idyll too high.

My 92 500SL idyll around 11 to 12 RPM on the Speedo dial air con. off.
Is this idling set up normal ? If not what is ? and how can it be rectified ?

Idle should be around 600 rpm. Mine was idling high when I got it. There is an idle solenoid centered on top of the engine with a large vacuum line running to it (P/N??). My indy replaced it and idle has been normal since.
