73 450 SL Coil
Does anyone have an extra Coil for a 73 450SL lying around they would like to sell. I prefer a new one.

You could probably get one just as cheaply at your local auto parts store... I just bought one for my MG for $12. I don't think there's anything special about the coil in the MB so a generic parts store one should do.

I thought so. If you ask for a Merceds coil it's special order for $65.00. What do you ask for? I always get in a whizzing contest with the parts clerk when I ask for a generic and won't say what it's for. Thanks for responding. Arron

If the parts store guy is giving you a hard time go to a different parts store. Even though it's for a mercedes, he shouldn't have to special order it. Any 12 volt coil should suffice.
Good Luck!
