I've got my 76 450sl at the Benz dealer now having the front subframe replaced under the recall... they said I need new control arm bushings both upper and lower on both sides of the car. They also gave me a price tag of $400 just for parts! I've done these on my 71 MGB and it wasn't too bad. Plus I can get the parts for about half of what the dealership wants. Is this a difficult job on the SL? Any special tools necessary?
Thanks Michael |

Michael,
You shouldn't have any problems with that. The only thing may be the springs. Do you have spring claps? You'll feel a big difference in your ride...
