380SL Transmission
My 82 Sl has started to slide into gears instead of being a sharp shift.The problem goes away after it warms up about 10 or 15 miles down the road. If it gets pushed hard it doesn't do it as bad. I think it probably is the seals because we don't drive it that much.Am I right and this will definetly mean a rebuild right? Somebody tell me I'm wrong!

Burgenlander,
My 83 Sl did that for about a year before I brought it in for service, turns out that it was an o-ring seal inside the trans. It was about $1400 to rebuild the trans.
