Squeaky Noise (560SL)

I drove my 89 560SL (74,000K) to work this morning. I noticed a squeaky noise coming from the left rear tire area. Besides the caliper rubbing against the rotor, what could cause the noise? I hear it when I come to a stop or slowly moving away. It stops completely when I get maybe 4 mph. Never heard this before! Pressing the brakes has no affect on the noise...just increasing speed does it go away. Rim is cool (not overheating).

Richard

There have been reports that the rear sway bar links can come loose when they age out and the free end can potentially cause odd noises.

Just a wild guess,
Scott

There's a mouse in the fender...time to get the cat out.
