softtop won't move

I have a 280SL built in 1994.
Is it possible that I have confused my roof mechanisme when I manualy closed the cover.I had openend it previously because there was a piece of rubber sealing sticking out,so I opened it with the button on the console and then I closed it by hand(with engine running).But now my roof doesn't want to move in any direction.Nothing works(roof)only the red button to activate the roof is flashing.I really could use some help here.
After a couple of efforts,my fusses burned out.I then replaced them,and now everything is working fine now.

More then likly one of the switches on the hrdraulic cylinders is triped.The soft top control module uses these inputs to determione the posistion of the latches(closed or open )if it sees conflicting information,one open and one closed the soft top will notfunction and the light will be illuminated.The easiest way is to visually look at the latches while the soft top is stowed in its compartment,make sure the rear switches are up and the front latches are open,if not there is a special tool in your tool kit to reset the switches,th eowners manual should show the procedure.
