SL320 wax
Just bought a 95 SL320. The paint is in great shape but the "brainiac" that sold the car to me ran it though the car wash and had it waxed. He still had the paint/marker that he used to put the price on the windshield still on the car when he went through the car wash!!! The white paint/marker is under the wax. I tried to use the clay and polish but that would not remove it. What can I use to strip the wax that will not hurt my clear coat or finish.Any ideas or thoughts?

Use polishing compound first; if that does not work, go to compound.

No comprende. The paint marker is on the paint or only the windshield? On glass you can use any sort of solvent you wish. On paint you use wax and grease remover.

An automotive paint store is the best place to find retail help for such a product. Many automotive paint stores sell Tide detergent as a wax remover.

Washing with dish soap will remove wax. Then just rub lightly with a polishing compound. Then finish with a quality wax.

The liquid wax used at a car wash is not going to seal the marker white to the point where it can't be removed.
If I were you I'd go to an auto body supply store and get Prepsol. It is designed to strip wax from a painted surface prior to refinishing. Try on an inconspicuous spot with a cotton swab first. I would not start in with compounds and polish (especially with black) as scratches will likely show.
