Smile 1988 560SL Headlamps

Hello to all and the best to all of you for the upcoming Holidays.

About 3 months ago, I sufferred a major heart attack (third one) this time I was driving my 560Sl and ran off the road.

Now , the damage was as follows. i Winshield broken, 2. Damaged right front headlamp assembly. 3. Moulding around windshield, 4. caved in the door a bit 5. front end damage.

I have been wetting my pants over the car for the last three months and trying to receuperate, I managed to get some of the work done. The Passenger Fender was replaced. The passenger door was repaired. all has been painted.

I have secured the following body parts through Phil's friend as follows: Side Mouldings, Windshield Moulding plus "L" tabs for corners. I'm missing the Front Rubber Passenger bumper (end portion wraps around fender.)

Now, I would prefer not to take the Driver side headlamp out to review what parts are needed to anchor the passenger side headlamp assembly. I'm sorry I have limited energy and would rather just know what I need from a kind soul here on the site.

The new fender on the passenger side has nothing to anchor the Headlamp assenmbly to the body? What parts do I need to anchor the entire headlamp assembly. I bought the entire assembly so that I can just bolt it in.
As well, the Amber Signal lights plug into the rear of the headlamps and then they have threaded studs for bolting under the bumper. How do these fit under the bumper and how are they attached?

Does anyone know the part numbers for the anchors that hold the side moulding to the side of the car?

Is there a trick to mounting the bumper piece and what is the part number!

Thanks to all.

A P.S.

How do I get that damn Body Shop Smell out of the car. I am about 3/4 of the way thru cleaning the interior but the odor prevails.

Thanks guys!

Glad your on the mend and back with us. As for the smell, just leave the windows open for a week....or two or three.

Are you sure it's BODY SHOP odor you're smelling?
