Help on Wiring
Can anyone tell me what the two wires are for that are shown on the attached photo. They are in the center console area, and are solid blue. One has two wires attached to an unusual connector of sorts and the other is one wire attached to a smaller unusual connector. They do not seem to go anywhere. They appeared to be loose when I disassembeled the center portion of the console. It is a 1974 450 sl with ac, and cruise. Any help would be appreciated. I looked at the Haynes manual and the diagrams are so bad it is very difficult to figue out. Thank you.

Pop the switch out of the dash. Then thread the wire/metal end through the dash hole and into the back of the switch.
If the metal end got seperated from the blue fiber cable, then the cable is trashed. I don't believe it can be re-crimped back on properly, been there tried that unsuccessfully.
