I found this discussion interesting. Maybe some of you knew it. I did not. Did you ever wonder what the hooks on the back of the intake were? Or the ones on the back of the air filter housing?

Yeah, you can buy replacements for about $2 from Phil, (God only knows what the dealer charges) or go to Ace and get them in the plumbing section for a buck...

If some PO has removed the brackets on the manifold they list for $27.00 each from MB. Rings are about $3.00. I just found it interesting because they were gone on the '72 and '73. Wondered what the brackets were for.

Whatever they were they sure didn't stick around long.
