380SL Climate Control (Heat & Fresh Air/Center Vent)
Still working on the climate control on my 84 380SL. I now have all my vents working: the center vent opens for fresh air (A/C) and closes for defroster;the defroster flaps open/close correctly for the defroster setting. THANKS RM Smith & Ron!
What I am having problems with now is the center vent will not close when I dial in heat. I get perfect heat, but the center vent will not close. What causes the center vent to close when I move the thermostat to heat? Thanks again! Richard

on mine it is manually controled by the center lever
If yours has a manual lever , most often the control rod actuator is broken or disconnected
