After-market Armrest for 450sl

I would like to install an armrest in my 77 450SL. I see that Performance Products has one that attaches to the drivers seat and was wondering if anyone had installed this item?

I installed a similar after-market armrest in my Acura RSX and it works great. Am hoping for similar success for the MB.

If you can find and old one I think you would be better off because chances are all the factory hardware would make it easy to install. However the majority of the armrests for these cars the plastic frame inside the foam rest is usually broken. I was able to devise a simple method to repair the plastic frame inside the armrest successfully and end up much stronger then the original.
