Speedo and Tach failure on '95 SL500
 

The tach and speedo failure occurred after a battery charge/jump/replacement. The rest of the dash cluster continued to function, The odometer, trip od and the MPG gauge all were functioning. BBA Reman in Mass. diagnosed the problem as a faulty microprocessor and not repairable ie no parts available. All was not lost, I located a pristine cluster in Cleveland this morning along with a excellent condition drivers door panel. $200 bucks for both installed and running perfect. "Sam" is parting out two SL's a '92 and a '95. Almost all parts are still there. email me if you need any Steve fazekasstephen@gmail

Weird things happen with theses cars when jumped started,You have to stop and think about what your doing! I have had problems on my w126 doing that,lesson learned
