Speedo and Tach failure on '95 SL500

The tach and speedo failure occurred after a battery charge/jump/replacement. The rest of the dash cluster continued to function, The odometer, trip od and the MPG gauge all were functioning. BBA Reman in Mass. diagnosed the problem as a faulty microprocessor and not repairable ie no parts available. All was not lost, I located a pristine cluster in Cleveland this morning along with a excellent condition drivers door panel. $200 bucks for both installed and running perfect.
