Need value Help on a 380SEL
I have an oportunity to buy a one owner car that just past 100,00 real miles with all kinds of recipts for work done, older couple from an estate sale...
Its an 83 380SEL and its in incredible condition... I'm a diesel guy and new to the mercedes world..does anyone want to take a stab at what it could be worth. thanks. |

Does it have the double row or single row timing chain? I think an '83 is early enough that it would have come from the factory with the single row. If not updated, I would factor the conversion cost into any offer.

+1 Nice cars but not "special" and they are gas hogs. My friend has a Euro 380SEL and it is a really nice car.

I think only the US spec 380 had the single row chain.
