Fuel Hose from Tank to Pump 560SL

Once you drain the tank, " How difficult is it to install a new Fuel Line from the Tank to the First Fuel Pump"?

Thanks

I also need to know if the line from the fuel tank goes down to a "Y" fitting and branches off to the fuel pump and the other branch goes to some sort of diaphram above the fuel filter area.

Please help explain!!

Thanks

19mm crows foot on long extension(s) to remove the hose from the tank. If you are lucky the strainer will come out with it. The hose attaches to an elbow pipe. Pipe has two outlets. One to the pump the other to the fuel accumulator.

Guess I will have to purchase the special tool. So the hose we are discussing is threaded on one (1) end and just hose w/clamp for the other.

What about the fuel strainer?? Do I need anything else like gaskets or seal of any type? Must be a small strainer since it looks like a fairly small threaded end into the tank

Please respond and let me know if I am on the correct path.

Thanks

The hose screws into the strainer which is not really small. If it does not come out and you want to remove it it requires a 46MM socket. It has an o-ring which comes with the strainer if it needs replacement.

Check the online service manual. Model 107
