R129 buyer q
Hi. I'm interested in getting a r129. My thoughts are a V8 as the V12 seems too costly to maintain and the 6 is perhaps a little underpowered. I saw praise for the 96+ 5 sp auto, but also saw some problems with that transmission. I tend to hate obd2 cars as every time I have to go to get inspected I get a random code aka check engine light and end up frustrated. So I think I will go 90-95. I then read that the 93-95 have harness issues. So 90-92. Then I read ASR is occasionally not desirable. So does this leave me searching for a 90? Any issues with my90s other than age and the corresponding rubber deterioration? Are the 2 rear 'seats' available only on the early models and were they standard or optional?
