SL search
Just starting to look for a 73-89 SL
Can get my hands on a "mint" 73 450SL. Does anyone know if airbags/antilock brakes can be added to these? Or should I just look for an 86-89 560 sl? Thanks

If airbags are that important for you, then just look at the 560SL. Although I think I read that Mercedes offered driver airbags as options in '85. Not sure if this was true for the 380SL.
A "mint" '73 would be hard to pass up, unless the asking price was too high.

AIR BAGS
560 SL WILL FOR SURE TO HAVE THEM. Thinking about getting a 107 style sl w/o an air bag and putting the them in yourself???
 That would not only mess up your day , but would also mess up your car. First you have to alter the originality of the car due to it's age. Second, the value. Third, your wallet. If it ain't broke - don't fix it. Find you a 560sl and be done with it. not only airbags you get , you also get anti-lock and the biggest engine available for that particular model.Goodluck
