New SL500 owner,,, WOW!!!!!
Picked up my "new" SL last nite. After the test ride, I was a bit concerned about the performance of the car compared to my E420. Not to worry,,, this thing positively RIPS!! Have lusted after these things for many a year and finally got into the position to get one. A pristine 95, one owner, with 31,000 miles. I haven't seem my wife with that big a smile in quite a while.

Glad to have you. I wont expect a reply until 3 days from now when you get back from that first ride with the top down.
Amazing how a car will make you take a daily 2 hour ride with the top down for no other reason than just to take a ride!!

I rode motorcycles for 35 years, but had back surgery in December and sold everything,,, 3 bikes and gear,,, and bought the SL. This is as much fun as I can every remember having on a bike. And a LOT more comfortable also.

yes there is nothing better.i still feel like a 18 year old, every time i start the engine. enjoy the summer it will be one you wont forget so fast
