What kind of deal is this

I did a silly thing today. I test drove a SL500. It was a 98 Sport, with AMG wheels with only 24K. The mercedes dealer wants $32,000 for it, and say the'll starmark it for a year.

The car is right off a lease which came in last night. The dealer is going to sell it back to 'mercedes' for fix up then auction.

I drove it. It was; well a SL 500 ;-) But the front end shiverered a little as we approached 80. Otherwise, it was dirty, not having gone through the 'cleanup or starmark checkout.

So, what kind of deal is this?
