WTB: 107 rear valance center piece / Spoiler
I just removed the AMG rear valance from my 380sl. I now must source a new center piece which is noticably missing. See pic below. This piece should be the same unit as used on the 450, 500 and 560. Any leads helpful.
Also looking for a 560sl front spoiler. I believe this assembly to be three pieces. Mrntvestor@yahoo.com

Are you aware of this replica front spoiler (560SL style)?
- http://www.************************/ProductPage.aspx?productname=OEM+Factory+Spoiler&productType=20&productid=104349 Might be less expensive than an OEM one - definitely more likely to be in stock. Also, I believe the stock three-piece rear valance for your car is the same as '74-89, but the '72-73 pieces (left, right, and center panels) are different. MD, Thanks for the link. Actually the Performance Products unit is a factory OEM spoiler.
If I can't get a used one I'll most likely go with them as their price is pretty good. I also understand they have sales from time to time.

PP front spoiler
Aren't the OEM 560SL front spoilers made of steel?
The PP replica is definitely ABS or some sort of black plastic (I bought one for Ludwig, but won't put it on until everything's painted) and it fits OVER the earlier years' front valance panels. Does a real 560SL front spoiler fit over a valance - or does it replace those panels? |

I'm pretty sure that my front spoiler is not steel. I think it's either plastic or fiberglass, but I'll check.

I couldn't tell from the cars I saw wether it was steel or not. It actually appeared to be 3 pieces....a top grill, the spoiler body and a lip that outlines the spoiler.
Also, it looked to be attached on it's own and not to another valance. PS...The Performance Parts ad says OEM / factory part all over it. I'm taking their text at face value.

The one I bought from PP is one piece, black. If you want the lower lip to stay black, you'd have to mask it off before painting the main part, or shoot both the lower lip and grill parts black after shooting the main part.
