Is it the red one, the green one or the silver one?

Have you got the mounting clip and two rubber blocks for the feet that insert into the trunk lid?

Yes the rubber feet are on the triangle. Not sure about the clip your speaking of. Does that stay on the trunk lid?

Not the rubber on the triangle - W116's require two rubber blocks that fit into the trunk lid to hold those feet in place. And the clip is the part that holds the top corner of the triangle, also attached to the trunk lid. I have more triangles than requisite parts currently...

OT: Is there really a "green" warning triangle? It's the first time for me to hear that there is.

No, and no silver one either. That post was absolute rubbish.

To the OP, could you post a picture? Given that you have the mounting hardware, I'm interested. I'm curious if the triangle is the earlier type with heavy beefy thick legs or the later thin ones... I only have one of the heavier style, and there's some surface rust.

it is definitely NOT originally from a 300SD, as the W116 300SD was a US-only car and the US never got warning triangles in any W116. It was pulled from a euro import or shipped over by itself. I had my first one send from England.
