It did a few years ago. In fact I was planning on buying a battery to check out all electrical components so we will see.

BTW it does have Euro headlights. Hellas I believe

PayPal vs. USPS Money Order?

Going Postal? Money Orders vs. PayPal - The Acoustic Guitar Forum

I stopped using PayPal in 2010 due to fees & problems with my bank account

Unfortunately we have to bank on faith that contributing members here are not trying to scam anyone, otherwise they would not last long as "members".
I am usually willing to accept personal checks from peachpart members with high post content. Heck, what is the worst you lose: some rusty old parts and a few dollars in shipping...

My bank confirmed the other day that US Postal Money orders are the most widely counterfieted money order out there.
https://postalinspectors.uspis.gov/raddocs/pressroom/fakemo.htm\

The benefit is you can verify 100% at the post office, right before you ship.
Course the small post offices around here never seem to have enough cash on hand to cover the sale of euro headlights ;)

Back to your wagon - what colors?
Hubcaps or alloys?
Pics coming soon?

ottomatic 07-26-2014 05:26 PM

I'm too embarrassed to take pics as car is covered with leaves, wheels alloy , palomino interior, cream outside

It's going to make people question your credibility if you can't post pictures.
You're too embarrassed? It's a parts car isn't it? Who cares. If it was your personal car that might be understandable, but not even then in my opinion. Post pictures.

Sorry I must be out of the loop, being here for a decade. Could you fill me in on what "fair prices" are?

All W123 seats were manual.

The vast majority of these complaints have to do with eBay. I fail to see how they would impact someone selling a few car parts in private transactions. If you don't want to pay the PP fees, ask that purchasers send the money as a gift.

I don't know what USPS charges for a money order, but here in Canada the service fee to issue one is now nearly $10 (due to the technology now involved, as a result of rampant counterfeiting).

Editorial comment: I have been around eBay pretty much since eBay has been around. It increasingly sucks, and so it goes with PP since eBay bought it.

However, in the bad old pre-PP days, listening to "the money order is in the mail" excuses for weeks sucked even more, as did false claims of items shipped, or items not arriving.

Ebay and PayPal may be greedy and often stupid where their policies are concerned, but the whole system is miles ahead in terms of day-to-day security.
