Wanted eBay help.
So I'm not fluent on these vehicles because this car was my grand mothers. I'm requesting any help on parts I have listed. Basically parted a 72 280sel and hoping for a little help as to how my auctions are and if I'm accurate at what fits what or maybe any adjustments. If my stuff sells I will defiantly try and throw a bone to whomever.

be careful with the one listing that really is not 'for' anything; better to make a listing for a specific part and then list other parts you have for sale as well. that way if someone bids you have something to deliver.

that was what i was referring to. not a good idea to have an auction for nothing in case you get some bids. just list a small part so you don't have to cancel a bunch of bids (if you got any). also, if you utilize the fixed price listing run them for 30 days (no extra cost) and use 'or best offer' option.

In any case, if someone complains to eBay they will remove the listing. You have to list a specific item for sale and it has to be readily available (supposed to be available to ship within 72 hours IIRC).

Hi -
Interesting, I saw your listing a day or so ago and almost flagged it because you aren't offering anything for sale on the "parting out car listing". You can "fix" your listing as follows: 1) modify listing price to be $1000 or best offer 2) modify quantity to be 10+ quantity 3) instruct people who make offers to state specifically what part they want including shipping 4) when you receive an offer for a specific part (which will be less than the $1000 or best offer) you respond with an acceptable price including shipping FOR THAT ITEM including the part description in your counter offer and including shipping in the counter offer. You can determine shipping cost based on the item and the bidder's zip code, which is provided with the offer. This way you can have this listing and not be in violation. Make it a 30 day listing. If you have the rear seat side reading lights with un-pitted chrome I would be interested in those so send me a message. On your other listings: For the dash pad item 141438180358, edit the subject line and remove w110, w111, 220, and seb. It is not the correct pad for any of those cars. Add "s", "280S", "280SE" "300SE". For your door latch item item 141438189697 change the description from "used" to "parts or not working" since "used" explicitly states that the part is in working order. Also remove the refernces to W110 w111 w112 w113 w114 w115 and the w115 part number that you quote, it is wrong. Also remove 200 220 222 240 and 230 as they are wrong. If you make these changes you are less likely to have a sale gone horribly wrong. The way you have it now, particularly on the parts car listing, you are asking for problems. If you |

Glad to help. The biggest issue is that if you are selling multiple items make it a very HIGH buy it now or best offer and have multiple items in the quantity field. And instruct the buyer to indicate what their terms are (what item for instance) in their offer. That covers your bases.

Here is an example of what I mean. I had 3 hardtops (which I modified to two hardtops) for sale all different condition all for best offer that I could reject. I modified the text as the first hardtop sold (I removed it and the reference to it). Then the 2nd and 3rd sold off ebay so I cancelled the listing. READ the questions and answers in the bottom of the listing and you will understand better. Mercedes Pagoda Hardtop 280 230 250 SL W113 Scoot on SL113 280SL 230SL 250SL 113 | eBay |
