Price range?

I’ve heard people have modified w123 pedals and even made totally custom ones.

I’ve got a few cars that I might consider parting out, but they are currently running and driving, and it would take a significant amount of money to initiate a part out. It’s good to have a few for the market value too.

Am I missing something? Did the 126 come as a stick? A 300SD as a stick shift?

I own two (1980, 1985) 280se (m110) 4-speed vehicles (but the car was also available as a 5-speed), and also a 1986 300sel 5-speed.

Check automobile-catalog.com for a list of what MB made.

I’m not sure about the w126, but I know the w123 240d, and w123 euro 300 (non turbo only?) could be had with a stick. I don’t recall ever seeing any factory w126 diesel stick.

Sad that they never put any of the straight 6 stick motors in a coupe, but I guess everyone figured it was too big for a fast straight 6, so it was more of an economy feature than a sport feature. I think the v8 stick cars ended with the w116 and r/c107 3.5 m116 motors.

Thank you for responding to my inquiry. With the number of years that Mercedes offered the W126 with a stick in Europe i'm confident there are still some to be had. However, I prefer to source one from this side of the pond if possible.

I definitely do not want to modify pedals or install aftermarket parts so I'm committed to the search to find one that was meant for the car. Mine is a 1990 and, I think, there was some kind of change in the 86-91 model years but that may have just been the transmission.

I wouldn't know where to begin on price but I'm more than willing to consider whatever you would feel a fair price would be to part out a car. If you want to PM me maybe we can further discuss it.

Thanks again,
Kurt
