Scam ALERT
 

Posted WTB rear windshield trim and was quickly contacted by jjoe223344 offering sale. Never checked his credentials on this site (zero activity) and was taken for $. In a hurry and got him mixed up with a legit forum member. I was redirected to his gmail address jjoe223344@gmail.com to make the payment-in retrospect another red flag.
Lesson learned and time lost,

I got scammed recently by Swissjay.

Also got a PM from a scammer today, jackdickson698.
Cole72 was floating around for awhile as well.

They seem to plant a couple legit-looking posts about a part they’re looking for, and then they PM all WTB posts.

There needs to be a "report to Admin" button on this forum.

What good does that do when all the admins seem to be on permanent vacation? We're basically in an abandoned forum, Wild-Wild-West...

Well that's really unfortunate. Is it the case that we have no admins who monitor things?

I wouldn't say that at all. Follow some guidelines:

1. Buy from people who have been around a while
2. Buy from people who have an on-line presence
3. PAY for things using paypal FOR GOODS AND SERVICE not friends/family cash transfer - even if you have to pay add'l fees for this. It's your only protection
