Can anyone identify these wheels? (56k warning)
Its the best pic I could get until they open up Tuesday. The owner of the business told me I could buy these Ronal's for $110 a peice, and I could keep my old ones for snows. While we are at it, anyone know what a repaint of the middle and a chrome of the outer rim would cost me per wheel? Thanks, Mike

They are Ronal R9's made for old AMG's back in the 80's. if the tire is bad i wouldn't buy it for 110 a piece. you see them on ebay all the time.

That does appear to be a Ronal R9, but
the AMG rims of the mid-80's, made by ATS, (I have 1 3/4 sets) are significantly different in that the spokes go all the way out to the bead seat rather than ending at the drop center as the Ronals do; it makes the rim appear to be a larger diameter. All the ATS/AMG rims of this style that I have seen had an older BMW or American car-like 16mm offset and are 15" X 7", which sets the tires way out toward the fender lip, whereas the Ronal type seem to have been available in several offsets in the more normal W123/126 22mm to 30mm range. Perhaps the Ronals were offered in several sizes, too.

I dont do ebay. And the tires are kind of dry-rotted, but then again so are mine. Dunno why Michelins do that. Not even my old Douglases did that.
