w210 wheels on a w124?

Time to upgrade ... my 124 wagon still has the stock 15 inch slotted rims.

(Current wheel size is 6.5 J X 15)

Saw some wheels used on a few of the 96-99 210 models ... sort of a
wider five spoke, poor man's AMGs.

(New wheel size is 7.5 X 16)

Would these fit (i.e. bolt pattern, etc.)?

What about tire size? 205s? 215s?

Thanks for your advice!

Those should work. I can't remember the specs offset. I was looking for those same rims. I got the 10 or 11 hole 16x7.5 ones from a 96-02 w210. If I get a chance I'll check the tire size tonight.

Thanks Shoebox ... finally found out the offset ... 41mm ... so
if my calculations are right (*), they should work.

6.5 x 15, ET 49mm (current)

7.5 x 16, ET 41mm (new)

Results in 5mm less inner clearance and 21mm extension of the outside edge of the wheel.

(offset calculator at 1010tires ... http://www.1010tires.com/WheelOffsetCalculator.asp)

Many folks are using 16 in CLK wheels w/ ET37 offset on the W124, it moves the wheel rims out from the center giving a slightly wider stance, no rubbing at all.
