Allseason tires w/ best snow performance? Kumho ASX?

I live in ann arbor and drive a 97 E420. I'm just your basic daily commuter, and I would like to avoid running Michelin pilot summer/blizzak winter sets if possible.

Kumho ASX has rave reviews on tirerack, and I'm thinking about getting these. Are there other allseason tires that have better snow performance?

Nokian makes an outstanding allseason tire that is also rated for winter conditions (snowflake/mountain symbol), perhaps the only such allseason tire so rated. Many of us use them all year round. Their dry performance is surprisingly fine, and their winter performance quite good.

Regards,
Bob
