anyone have low offset 16in wheels FS?

I’m trying to find some 16” wheels to put on my 84 300sd. My stock tires are thread bare and If I can’t find wheels fast Im going to have to put new tires on the stock rims or get spacers for the 44mm offset 15in wheels I got in an eBay purchase fiasco from a bad seller that described them wrong.
Ive got so much time invested in this wheel issue now Im determined to have success and not put new tires on the stock wheels.
I know there is the wheel forum and the parts forum. I’m posting here hoping someone that has some in their garage that wants em out of their way but hasn’t bothered trying to sell them.
I’m starting to think that used OE takeoffs 16in with 23mm or so offset are fables like Leprechauns and help at Home Depot. I can’t afford new ones from Tire Rack. Despite one e bay purchase mess Ive been scouring e bay for weeks and e mailing sellers that have no idea what the offset is. Ive spent days rooting through every junkyard in the area. I’ve also seen none in the parts forum.
Can anyone help?

16s are hard to find, 15s are a bit easier, I've located 2 sets of 15s w/ the low offset so far. I've never seen 16s. If you go 17s, (like I did) you can get away w/ a higher offset b/c the rim goes 'around' the tie rod.

IMHO 15' 205/70 are a great tire rim combo, but then anything is better than 14 inch tars.
