had them on 16in W140 wheels. LOVED them great grip and wet traction. Much better then the firestones on my jetta. Handling was improved but that could have been a combo of both bigger wheels and tires.

I have these KUMHO Ecsta Supra 94W's on my 88 560 SEC, AMG EURO. I love them their performance is excellent, to put it mildly...

Suggest you have them filled with Nitrogen, as I did, rather than air, for better ride quality, and expansion at high speeds.

My tire size is 235/45 ZR 17 94W

Does nitrogen 'soften' the ride?

I had a tire shop ask me if I wanted nitrogen in my old set of tires... for a fee of coarse. But a couple of people I know who had this done said they felt like they were driving on a set of cement wheels

I decided to stick with good ol' air..

Nitrogen, handles speed and temperature changes a whole lot better than air. I was told it would soften my ride, but simply didn't even feel any difference either way...

When cruising at highway speeds, especially in hot waether, on hot pavement, the air in the tires naturally expands. It can expand as much as 15 lbs. on a summer day. The Nitrogen, nearly, if not, completely eliminates this whole factor in either hot, or cold climates, due to it's chemical properties and their reactions to climate changes.

I liked the idea, it was so cheap, it may as well have been free. It cost me a dollar a wheel. When you're spending so much on tires, rims, mounting, balancing, and finally allignment. What difference will four or five dollars make..?

Interesting tires, those Kumhos. I do believe that the ones I bought are just as good as a Michelin, and cost about half as much. I had never heard of them until the tire store man told me they are the hot ticket. Maybe they are so inexpensive because few people have ever heard of the brand. I hadn't.

I put Kuhmo kr-21's on my 300SD about 5000 miles ago. So far so good. I went with 225/60-15 on late 126 15 hole wheels.

I have KH11s on mine right now. Freaking love them. About to order 4 of the new Kumho Ecsta LX Platinums for the SDL. Looks like a very nice tire.

Hey man. I have the Ecstas. You will love them as much, if not more than the KH11s you have now. They are really nice, and glue you to the road also. Make sure you have them filled with Nitrogen, not Air. It makes a HUGE difference in performance, wear, tire life, and it only costs a few bucks per tire. Even though air is free Nitrogen is worth every single penny. Has something to do with temp changes, and pressure stays normal, for a longer time.

I was debating on whether to get the same Kumho Solus wheels for our 300TE. Guess I'm heeding your advice and getting them soon. Thanks

Ecsta What model? ASX, AST, Platinum?

I'm getting the Platinum LX which is the new one available from Kumho.

I have run the KH16s as well as the KR21s with sucess. I had 795 Touring on my 123 and they were great tires.
