Will these tires fit my 420SEL?

I have some extra 225-60-15 tires, and was wondering if they would fit my 1987 420SEL with stock 15" wheels. The stock tire size is 205-65-15.

I've already checked the tire diameter, and it differs from the stock tire by only 0.5%.

But since the nominal sidewall width of these tires is almost 9", and my stock wheels are, I think, only approximately 7" wide, is the tire too wide for the wheel? (The stock tire has an 8.1-inch-wide sidewall.)

Also, would the tire interfere with the body, suspension or steering?

Thanks!
