I had my set of tyres changed from the Energy series to the Primacy (Made in France). It was excellent as far as wet traction and road noise is concerned. Zipped through a wet stretch and puddle at 100 mph without a hitch or a skip. And the road noise was so minimal that you could hear the throbbing at the heart of the engine. I don't know how it might sound when its 30% worn.
On the whole, its a great set of tyres. Check it out: http://www.michelin-us.com/us/eng/tire/catalog/cat_03.htm
