Original Tires for my CLS500?
I have looked around (briefly) to see if I could find out what the original tires for my 2006 CLS500 were. The PO replaced them with run flats. I would like to go back to the original tires, but can't find that info anywhere that I've looked so far. Any suggestions?

CHECK DISCOUNTTIRE.COM
I'm no familiar with your ride, but I looked at D.T.'s website and it asked if you have the base model or sport. It also notes that your car came with staggered fitment from the factory. OEM on the base model is 245/40/18 on the front and 275/35/18 on the rear. The rest of the info on the sport model and matched sets is all there. Hope that helps, let me know what you find.

P.S.
I think I forgot to actually answer your question.......OEM tires were Pirelli P Zero Nero All Season.....although MB did offer several tire options. The Pirelli's are considered stock.

Thanks, Parshoot1. I had to act quickly, so I ended up getting set of Michelin Sports Pro A/S tires, which seem to be a good choice. The old tires still had plenty of tread on them, but one blew out and when I checked, they were almost seven years old.

I think Continental model is rated slightly higher overall than the Michelin, and costs less. The only area where the Michelin received higher ratings was in cornering at illegally high speeds.
