Question 16" or 17" on my '95 W124 E220 SE?

I'm planning to upgrade my 15" stock wheels to a 16 or 17" to look a bit better but don't want to compromise the ride comfort that much.

1. 16" wheels will not compromise ride comfort, maybe negligible, but will it enhance the look MUCH better than the 15"?

2. 17" will make the car look great, but does it really compromise the ride comfort?

I know both will result to better handling.

Your "expert" opinions based on experience will be highly appreciated.

Thanks.

I have 17's on my 300Ce with stiffer springs, and ride is not much different than when I had 16's. in fact I think the ride is better with the 17's over the 16's. Dunno why.

I get a better ride with 17s with the tires below vs 15s with MXV4s

Wink 17 it is

thanks guys.

I got a 17" as advised. It looks better & ride not that bad as I thought.

I was able to get a 6 Spoke 17" x 8", used in the current CLK, for just US $ 700 with Michellin tires (slightly used/ as new condition).

I'll post some pictures soon.

CLK wheels

Do you mean you got the Seven spoke clk wheels with tires? Man, I have been looking for those forever.

No Austin.

What I had was a 6 spoke, not 7.

See attached pic of the wheel.

Thanks for clarifying.

I think they look great on your car, but they look crappy by themselves.

I have been trying to find those CLK 17" 7 spoke wheels. They are really nice.

Looks good man, you might want to lower the rear a little.
