CLK Wheels W123...Spacer size?
Hello,
I have a set of light weight 16" CLK Wheels ET37 for my W123 and was wondering what size spacers do I need for the front and rear? I searched, and some members do not use any, some 5mm, some 8mm, and others 10mm. Can I use universal spacers or hub centric? Thanks, in advance for your help! Alex

When I had my CLK wheels on my 85 300TD, I used 5mm hub centric spacers and bundt lug bolts for the front and no spacers on the back with shorty (208) lug bolts.
I've seen different looking tie rod ends. Some with larger diameter than others which probably explains people using different size spacers. The other reason is I had to tap down my dust caps to compress them slightly to allow the center caps to fit. I'm sure a thicker spacer would allow the center caps to fit without smashing the dust caps down.

COLLIN380:
Examine your original 123 wheels; you should find them marked as to ET. The original ET should be approx. 25. 37-25=12mm spacer thickness required |

FWIW we put a set on my dad's 84 300SD and used bundt caps instead of the CLK caps. The bundt caps sit on top of the lip and the stock CLK caps are flush so they don't have as much room which is why you need the spacer or to bump the dust covers down a little bit.
