My folks bought the car new in '85. Dad customized it by installing those shiny wide wheels. I have replaced the ball jonts, tie rods & steering gearbox as a result of that custom job. Our original mechanic gave my dad a "good deal" on some used stock wheel when I convinced my dad to go back to factory configuration. I've owned a car for a few years now & recently discovered that the silver metallic paint is peeling off revealing original factory coating. Apparently the mech spray painted the wheels before selling them to my dad. Paint coming off continuosly puts the wheel out of balance.
Where can I get good used wheels and how much can I expect to pay for the set? |
