94 E420 tire upgrade to maintain speedo

Greetings, I need for my E420 to be reshod. I've got the standard MXV4 Michelins in 195/65/15's on it but am interested in something with more teeth and for perhaps less money. I'd like to go wider but would like to know what size/profile I could go to and still maintain spedometer/odometer accuracy. Anybody got a preference? Thanks!

You could go for 215/60 x 15. This would give you 1% higher speed than you have at the moment, but as the speedo is probably 5% fast anyway, no problem.......

Most of the tyres here in England aren't available your side of the pond, but Goodyear F1's should be, they are extremely good all-rounders for the money. Look cool too...........
