that is indeed a well made looking product!
at $350 for a set of 4, not cheap, but then... quality never is. i noticed that they did not mention bolt size. 12 vs 14mm they show the newer 16" "S" wheel, which is 14mm and most older apps utilize 12mm bolts. i would be interested to see if they offer a 12 to 14mm ring. i actually wanted that exact 16" wheel, but have 12mm hubs. many of those "S" wheels are available as "takeoffs" at very attractive pricing at high-end shops and ebay. ive seen many sets of 4 sell for under $500 in like new condition. anyway, they look like a very well made adapter. thanks for posting the info/link. - ben |

They're 12mm
The wheel on the car have 12mm bolts... I think only W140s had the 14mm bolts? I'm not exactly sure here. The spacers are for 12mm...
I got the wheels on ebay for $260 for the set without tires. They're 16", from a W220 S class. Jaime -my green car in the picture |

jamie, is that YOUR car in the pic of their site?
wheels: if they are the 16" 7-spoke "raised center rib" wheel as found OEM on the newer "S" class cars, i was told (by several sources) that these wheels used a 14mm bolt, and therefore should NOT be used on a 12mm app unless an adapter was used. you COULD obviously use a 12mm bolt, but i would NEVER trust that! do you know FOR SURE that the correct size bolt is securing your wheel to the adapter? im just concerned about safety. its ironic to me because i VERY much wanted those 16" wheels when i upgraded from 15 to 16 on my W202 (12mm) it looks like you noticed the value of the pricing on these wheels as well! |

The 16" wheels in the picture (Green Car) are from a late model S class. They use the M12 X1.5 ball seat wheel bolt.
Your sources are wrong. In fact, most Mercedes use 12 mm bolts. The W140 is one of the few that uses 14mm ball seat lug bolts. I tired the tire rack to see if they had info on wheel bolt size but they do not. Im sure if you call them they will tell you. Or the Mercedes dealer. |

Cheaper Source for Spacers
I have a 1983 300TD-T with the exact same wheels as pictured. 2000 S-class 7 spoke wheels with 225/55-16's mounted up. They are perfect for this car.
I bought my spacers for $200.00 from the following place (see link) http://www.motorsport-tech.com/Pages/Intro.html I did have a problem first time out because they did not cut the inside diameter for the front wheels correctly but now they have it down, it should be no problem. I used my factory studs to install the spacers to torque spec and then used the provided lug nuts to bolt the wheels to the spacers at correct torque spec. The wheels are usually available on eBay for a decent price. I have 5 of them! Hope this helps someone.
