95 E320 style wheels - aftermarket

Where can I pick them up? I am looking at a 93 E300, and wouldn't mind having the 12 hole (?) wheels instead. I don't want to spend 50% of the car's value on wheels (aka don't want original Mercedes wheels, LOL).....

Thanks

You want 8-hole wheels.

The Tire Rack sells aftermarket 8 hole wheels that look just like the originals, in stock 15" and 16" sizes.

www.tirerack.com

Performance Products also sells them.

Your original wheel size is 15", and the original finish is painted silver.

The type you want are called "AT Italia Type 8".

They are $119 each at The Tire Rack.

Eight hole wheels were silver paint/clearcoated from 92 to 94 but then polished/clearcoated in 95. There's not a whole lot of difference in the look but it seems to me that the painted/clearcoated holds up a little better. I believe the TireRack wheels are painted/clearcoated, but I'm sure they could tell you.

Replica eight hole wheels used to be cheaper, $80 to $90, but have gone up a lot lately. There was a landmark lawsuit recently - Porsche sued a replica maker and won. Replica wheels now seem to be getting rare and more expensive - I don't know if they have to pay royalties now or what.
