Selling 84 300D Turbo in Florida

This is the last one left. Nice car for $500. No battery. No ACC. Sunroof doesn't work. 1 small rust hole. No dents. Interior is mix-n-match dark blue and Palomino.Selling 84 300D Turbo in Florida-002.jpg

No antenna, no radio, yes the car runs fine. Slight knock in rear end when shifting from forward to reverse. I don't know if it would make a trip to PA. I have only driven the car maybe 4 miles since I have had it.

I have seen this car ( as well as everyone at the FL GTG a month ago) and I can tell you that it is a very solid car for that kind of money. One hole just under the rear window. Needs TLC but runs and drives. You could do a LOT worse. Probably better than 95% of all the W123s north of the Mason Dixon line. I would have bought it myself, but I already have 4 sedans and I'm too old to wear them all out.....

do you think that that "knock" when shifting is tranny or rearend?I have an 84 myself(no pics yet ) and was thinking of a parts car or do you think this is a stand alone and worth saving.

I didn't drive the car so I can only guess, but it may be something as simple as a bad or loose flex disc, or real bad center support bearing. Then again......

And, IMHO, this car is worth saving. It would need paint and some interior pieces out of a junkyard (or maybe some vinyl paint) to make it presentable.

I agree with rs899. I really seriously have not driven the car much at all. Basically test drove down the road a couple of times. That's why I say I wouldn't want to trust it to go too far. As far as a parts car or a daily driver? Thats all up to the individual. I'm in process of fixing up my 240D so all my attention goes there. I know it's slow, but it's simple, too.
