I have for sale my 1989 300SE (W 126). I've owned the car for eight years, and done most of the mainenance and repair myself. It's in arctic white with a burgundy leather interior. Everything works but the ABS, which I spent $800 trying to fix (very long story), to no avail. I have removed the ABS relays and have normal power brakes, which have worked just fine for many years.

The car has 136,600 on it; it has received regular oil changes at intervals never over 3,000 miles, usually much less, because I tend to change by the calendar rather than miles.

I do not have a digital camera, so no pics, sorry. The body is excellent (I have replaced both headlight lenses, and the front and rear chrome bumper covers, which were pitting). Interior is also excellent--have had sheepskin covers on the front seats for the entire time I've owned it. It's a great highway cruiser, and the inline six 103 engine is very smooth, as is the transmission. Tires have about 20,000 on them (Bridgestone Turanzas). Recent repairs include a new alternator, a rebuilt speedo, and a new Klima relay for the ACC. I have all my maintenance records, as well as many from the previous owner, who was, I believe, just the second owner.

If you live in the vicinity of central Illinois (about 130 miles south of Chicago), and have an interest in this series, you might want to have a look. My asking price is $3,800 OBO.
